A Manual titled About Fishermen, Fisherwomen, Oceans And Tides: A Gender Perspective In Marine-Coastal Zones’, authored by Lorena Aguilar and Itzá Castañeda of the World Conservation Union (Social Area and Wetlands and Coastal Zones Area Regional Office for Mesoamerica ORMA Social Policy Program San Jose, Costa Rica 2000) has recently been brought out. According to the authors this manual constitutes a conceptual and methodological proposal that provides tools and recommendations aiming at linking development projects in marine-coastal zones to the topic of gender equity.
