Odisha Forest Department personnel arrested five fishermen and seized two boats in the wee hours today for unlawful fishing in Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapara district. The arrested identified as Jayram Majhi, Sukant Majhi, Abhi Majhi, Bijay Majhi and Sukadev Mandal have been forwarded to court this morning. A patrolling team headed by Forest Range Officer of Bhitarkanika National Park Akshay Kumar Nayak last night nabbed two boats of Bhadrak area near Sapua Creek under Kalibhanjadia forest block and arrested five fishermen with two fishing nets, informed a senior forest officer.
