No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-6.6 earthquake that struck early Saturday in waters off Mexico.
The earthquake hit at 1:54 a.m. Hawaii time in the Revilla Gigedo Islands region of Mexico, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no threat to Hawaii.
