Towards an aim to boost beneficiaries of fish cultivation in the district, more than hundred beneficiaries was given floating fish feeds by fishery department. The feeds were handed over by the director of Fisheries, Kevisa Kense, at Longleng office premises on Tuesday. The fish feeds were distributed to the beneficiaries ranging from grassroot level to the progressive fish farmers under the “Blue Revolution (NEEL KARANTI during the year 2016-17) In the programme, SDFO Longleng highlighted on the use of floating fish feeds at the right time. SDFOalso encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize the provided facilities for the benefit of the growers and buyers. SDFO also said that with the timely use of floating fish feeds, there would not only be healthy digestion for the fishes but would also reduce water pollution, optimize water usage and improve the ponds overall ecosystem. SDFO also thanked the director for introducing and facilitating the farmers with scientifically improved products to the local farmers of the state.
