People from the delta region and coastal areas along Tanintharyi will face strong winds due to changes in weather conditions starting from at the end of March until mid-April, warned meteorologist Chit Kyaw. “Fishing boats need to be careful of strong wind in the sea especially in the delta region, gulf of Martaban and coastal areas along Tanintharyi region, he said. “Moreover cold winds from the North West and warm winds from the South will meet and form rainclouds within ten days, he said. “People need to know about the changes in weather condition. If water vapour exists in the place where the wind is coming, it will carry the water vapour. It will form clouds while crossing mountains by climbing high and rain will pour. When wind from the South or South East starts blowing, and it is the sign which shows the weather is changed from the winter to the summer, said Chit Kyaw. “Rakhine state, Ayeyawady, Bago and Yangon regions will not have rain on March 27 and 28 unlike the rest of the regions and states. Kachin and Shan states and eastern areas of Tanintharyi Region will have more rain. Mon State and Tanintharyi Region will have thunder showers on March 29 and 30. Bago, Ayeyawady and northern areas of Yangon and southern areas of Rakhine state are not expected to have rain from March 31 to April 4, and the rest regions and states will have scattered rain. Northern areas of Rakhine State, Chin state and Tanintharyi Region will have a little more rain, he said. Upper areas of Sagaing Region, Tanintharyi Region, Kachin and Shan States had thunder showers on March 27 and recorded rainfalls are 3.70 cm in Myeik, .40 cm in Homalin, 0.20 inches in Kani and 0.10 inches in Myitkyina, according to department of meteorology and hydrology.
