At least 15 fishermen of Umargam in Gujarat and Jai Bordi in Maharashtra had a narrow escape on Sunday night after their boat capsized in sea after hitting a stone. Valsad police claimed that they saved the fishermen. While the fishermen claimed that they came out of the sea on their own. According to details, the fishermen, two from Umargm and others from Jai Bordi, went out for fishing in the sea. Their boat hit a stone and capsized. So they called in another boat, but its engine failed and so ultimately all of them boarded a small boat reached the shore. When they were seven nautical miles away, other fishermen spotted them from Gholwad shore. Three other boats went sent for their rescue. All fishermen were brought ashore safely and were given primary treatment at Umargam.
