The members of the SGPDA on Monday during its meeting have decided to close the wholesale fish activities at the market by 9 am daily from November 1. Speaking to the media, after the meeting SGPDA chairman Mauvin Godinho said that the members have taken a firm decision to close the whole sale fish activities at the market by 9 am daily from November 1. “We have installed gates and this is also a demand of the retail fish sellers of SGPDA,” he added. Godinho explained how the areas of the wholesale fish market are being cleaned and the approach road is hot-mixed for the ease of visitors. “The SGPDA meeting was adjourned as a lot of issues were discussed. We will continue with the meeting either on October 17 or October 26 the chairman informed. He said several issues were discussed, however no firm decision was taken and hence the meeting was adjourned.
