Members of Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) have allegedly picked up two Bangladeshi fishermen in the Naf River at Teknaf. The detained fishermen are Mohammad Yunus, 35, and Abu Taher, 28.Quoting family members, BGB Battalion 2 Commanding Officer Lt Col Abu Jar Al Jahid said the BGP personnel had picked them up when they were fishing near Gholar Char estuary of the Naf River on Saturday morning. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has requested its Myanmar counterpart to return the fishermen. However, Myanmar BGP has denied having detained the duo.
