A bicycle procession, protesting the government’s decision to set up Rampal power plant in the Sundarbans, was held in Barisal city yesterday. Biggan Andolon Mancha Barisal organised the procession which started in front of Ashwani Kumar Hall in the morning and ended at Central Shaheed Minar after riding though different city streets. A drama, based on environmental issues, was also staged before the procession started.
