The Minister of Fisheries, Victória de Barros Neto, reaffirmed this Friday in Luanda the investment of the Angolan executive in the recovery of fishing resources and development of fish processing and manufacturing industry, under the eradication of hunger and poverty programme.

The official said so during the opening of Council for Integrated Mnagement of Aquatic and Biological Resources.

The minister underlined that this investment is extended to the development of saline industry aquiculture and training of specialised staff.

She said that the state will play its role in the reinforcement of the institutional capacity in the field of research, inspection, technical assistance service and extension for artisanal fishing.

Victória de Barros Neto appealed for the participation of the private sector in the creation of economically profitable companies, taking advantages of business and credit opportunities that the executive is availing.

The Council for Integrated Management of Aquatic and Biological Resources is a concert platform with the entrepreneurial sector of fisheries to overcome the constraints resulting for the activity of the sector.
