A fisherman drowned in the sea while five others have swam ashore after the mechanised catamaran they were sailing had capsized off Rushikonda on Wednesday, according to the Arilova Police. Body of V. Dhanaraju (55) was fished out of the sea by the fishermen and police after the boat overturned and was sent for post-mortem. The boat was caught in the strong rip current due to the rough sea condition when it was returning to the shore with a load of fish.
