The Last date for receipt of applications in prescribed format from the bonafide Fishers/Fish Farmers/Tribal’s who are interested to go on study tour to West Bengal and Tamil Nadu during the current year 2016-17 is extended up to 5th August, 2016. The purpose of the study tour is to acquaint Fishers/Fish Farmers/Tribal’s of the Islands with the latest and innovative technological development taking place in mainland. The study tour for the Freshwater Fish Farmers shall be for West Bengal and for Marine Fishers/Tribal’s shall be Tamil Nadu. The expenditure on boarding, lodging and travel shall be met by the Department. The interested Fishers / Fish Framers/Tribal’s in the age group of 18 to 45 years can submit their applications along with copy of local certificate (with photograph duly attested by the Tehsilder) to the Director of Fisheries with due recommendations of Panchayat Pradhans/Tribal Councils through respective area Officers on or before 5th August, 2016. The incomplete applications and the applications received after the due date shall not be entertained. The application forms and the eligibility conditions can be collected from respective area Officer/Assistant Director of Fisheries (Training)/Directorate of Fisheries, Port Blair/Officer-In-Charges of Fisheries Zonal Offices/Fisheries Sub-Stations.
