The U.S. Coast Guard has found four Mexican fishermen on a South Texas beach after they’d been missing since Friday.

The Coast Guard says it was notified Saturday of fishermen missing since leaving Playa Baghdad, just south of the Texas-Mexico border, on Thursday. They had been expected back at 7 a.m. Friday.

The Coast Guard joined the search Saturday. A Coast Guard helicopter found the fishermen’s 25-foot boat on the beach near the Port Mansfield Channel Sunday. On Monday, a Coast Guard helicopter from Air Station Corpus Christi spotted the fishermen waving from the beach about 11 miles south of where the boat was found.

The men, who were uninjured, were taken to the Coast Guard Station at South Padre Island and turned over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
